CoinSpot Pay is a non-cash payment facility that lets you use supported cryptocurrency assets to pay for goods and services purchased online from participating retailers.
Where can I use CoinSpot Pay?
CoinSpot Pay is currently available on Kogan. Users will be able to pay for any items/products on Kogan using CoinSpot Pay at checkout.
How does CoinSpot Pay work?
On checkout, customers will have the option to use their CoinSpot account to make the payment using their cryptocurrency holdings, or using another wallet. Users who do not hold a CoinSpot account, can proceed with payment using an external wallet. The payment is then made by sending cryptocurrency to the generated wallet address shown at the checkout page.
What are the fees?
When making a payment using your CoinSpot account, a 1% fee will be applied. CoinSpot will not charge a fee for the external wallet transactions. However, the send made from the external wallet or exchange from may incur a network fee. Please refer to your sending wallet's support team for further information.
What cryptocurrencies can I use?
When logging into CoinSpot Pay with your CoinSpot account, you can pay using any actively traded coin with a sufficient balance. If you are sending from an external wallet, only Bitcoin (BTC) & Ethereum (ETH) are currently available via their mainnet networks.
Do I need to have a CoinSpot Account?
CoinSpot Pay can be used without a CoinSpot account. Customers who do not hold a CoinSpot account can send directly from their external wallet funds. The cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) via their mainnet networks are currently supported.
Do I connect my wallet to CoinSpot Pay?
CoinSpot users can log into their CoinSpot account via the payment portal and select any asset with a sufficient balance within their account to make a payment. External wallet users do not need to connect their wallet, they just need to send the required crypto amount to the generated wallet address.
What external wallets can I use?
Payments made through CoinSpot Pay can be sent from any external wallet, including those from other exchanges or private wallets.
How long does it take for my payment to be completed?
Payments made with your CoinSpot account are completed instantly. When completing a payment by sending from an external wallet, processing times will depend on blockchain network and its current network activity. Once you send your cryptocurrency, there will need to be enough block confirmations on the network before the payment is completed.
