What is GAS?

GAS (GAS) is part of a two tiered system, that being NEO and GAS. GAS is used to enable the NEO blockchain, and generated when an individual holds NEO. While individuals hold NEO, GAS is generated automatically as blocks are verified on the NEO blockchain.

  • There is a cap of 100 Million GAS and the last GAS token is predicted to be generated in 2039 predicting it may become a store of value.
  • The value of GAS is not linked to the value of NEO. Making GAS and NEO distinct sides of the same coin so to speak.
