What is BarnBridge?

Barnbridge (BOND) is a DeFi risk tokenising protocol which focuses on stablecoin lending products allowing users to deposit stablecoins into junior and senior farming pools.

  • The protocol combines user deposits into underlying money markets and allocates the generated yields onto the different risk profiles which are referred to as tranches.
  • What are tranches? Tranches are pieces of a pooled yield that are split up by risk in order to be marketable to different investors. In the BarnBridge ecosystem, tranches are represented by ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens.
  • BOND is the governance token for the BarnBridge protocol and can be staked on the platform in return for important voting powers. Users can also earn liquidity mining rewards from providing BOND liquidity.

Barnbridge uses a SMART yield protocol allowing users to deposit stablecoins into Junior or Senior farming pools. Senior pools provide a fixed interest rate, whereas the junior pools are exposed to variable interest rate returns with regular incentives of BOND tokens.
