What is Ether.fi?

Ether.fi (ETHFI) is a decentralised, non-custodial delegated liquid staking protocol on Ethereum. One of the key features of Ether.fi is that stakers control their keys when delegating their stake to a node operator.

  • The Ether.fi mechanism mints an NFT for every validator that is launched via the protocol. The Liquid Staking Derivative token eETH is minted from a liquidity pool that contains these NFTs.
  • Ether.fi also provides a node services marketplace in which stakeholder and node operators can register nodes to provide infrastructure services, with revenue shared between the two.
  • ETHFI is the native utility & governance token for the Ether.fi protocol, it is used by the community to govern aspects such as Ether.Fi treasury, key protocol upgrades, protocol fees and distributions.
