What is Obyte?

Obyte (GBYTE) was created in 2016 and is a distributed ledger built upon directed acyclic graph (DAG) technology. The Obyte team aims to create a truly decentralised, free, equal and open ledger. GBYTE is the native utility token of the Obyte ecosystem.

  • Obyte is one of the very first DAB based cryptocurrency platforms which also support dApps. As the Obyte network does not have miners or traditional blocks, the team behind the project believes dApps are safer and easier to develop then traditional blockchain-based dApps.
