What is Rocket Pool?

Rocket Pool (RPL) is a staking pool for ETH 2.0. Individuals are able to join the Rocket Pool, or run their own nodes. RPL is used to reward those who participate in the Rocket Pool ecosystem.

  • Individuals who participate in the Rocket Pool network are able to swap their ETH for rETH, which can then be staked toward node operation with the network.
  • The Rocket Pool team also provides liquid staking, which allows users to benefit from increasing exchange rates. The team also provides smart nodes, which allows anyone to run nodes on the network.
  • RPL is the native token of the network and is bonded to node operators. Node operators that deposit ETH are encouraged to also deposit RPL, this RPL is then used as rewards for users staking via the network.

Rocket Pool aims to provide individuals with an accessible and robust staking pool for ETH 2.0, while allowing those who are able to operate and benefit from nodes on their network.
